Harvesting our grapes

So what was this year like?

T his year’s harvest has been finished, and we already know one thing for sure: This is a great year for wine. Although we were worrying about the grapes after the late frosts at the end of April, our fears did not come true. Also the amount of grapes we harvested was absolutely fine – especially after the poor harvests we had in the last few years. The summer was hot and dry, still the amount of rain was sufficient. Also the mild weather we had while harvesting turned our work into a great pleasure. Of course there were some rainy days, but they did neither affect the quality of the grapes nor the mood of all the helping hands involved in the harvest. By now the harvest has been completed and our wines are fermenting peacefully. Here’s to a great vintage!
